• Weighed in at almost 17 lbs and measured more than 27” tall at his 6 month checkup (still a very tall little boy and we’re thinking maybe a future Quarterback or baseball player). Sam is obsessed with paper and loved getting into mischief while waiting for Dr. Miller at his checkup...

• Eating three solid meals a day with snacks and lots of milk in between.
• Holding a sippy cup on his own and putting it up to his mouth but still not quite sure how to drink from it.

• Reaching his little arms up to be held within the last week (he began reaching for Mama first much to my delight but now reaches for Daddy, too :-)).
• Teething like crazy as he has since 2 months with two buds in front but no actual teeth pushing through yet (check out the drool below... you'd think he just spent 4 hours in the gym)...

• Loving to shred and eat paper (especially magazines and old birthday cards) HAHA!
• Primarily sleeping through the night with occasional once/night wake-ups.
• Loves to stand up and put weight on his legs (will not be long until he’s pulling up).
• Reading books (touch and feel books and any books with mirrors are his favorite)!
• Climbing EVERYWHERE like a little monkey but still being a little cuddlebug when he gets tired (Mama loves these moments)…

• Now eating Stage 2 baby foods and loving anything containing bananas (his favorite) or macaroni and cheese (a new favorite- and one of Mom’s favorites while pregnant) :-).
• Laughing often and from DEEP within his belly, often not prompted and while he's playing by himself. Ella seems to crack him up the most!
• Sitting up almost all by himself and getting stronger at it every day.
• Loving sitting in the floor on a quilt playing independently with his toys (especially his laptop Mom and Dad gave him for his half birthday and his Fisher Price workshop from Aunt Milly).
• Chatting up a storm and loving making raspberry noises with his lips (loves to do this while eating and gets baby food all over Mom and Dad in the process).
Sam had so much fun at his half birthday party on 9/8 with family and friends. We had pizza and a half cake to celebrate our sweet boy’s milestone and his family loved having the opportunity to love on him. :-) Here are a few photos from Sam’s party…

Sam has also had lots of fun cheering on the Tide each Saturday. Mimi and Pops even picked up a customized jersey for him in Tuscaloosa. Isn’t he the cutest little Bama fan you’ve ever laid eyes on? Such a little heartbreaker!

We are excited to take some Fall photos with our friend Cassie Bousson on 10/16 at Cedar Farms. Hello pumpkins and hay bales! Cassie is a friend from college, fellow Mom and very talented photographer. I can’t wait for her to photograph sweet Sam! Check out her work at http://boussonphotography.blogspot.com. Mommy had a monogrammed pumpkin longall made for Sam that he will wear for the pics. :-) I found it on Etsy and was so pleased with how it turned out. Will definitely be ordering more of these sweet outfits! Below is a replica of the one I had made for Sam (you’ll have to wait for his Fall pics to see his)…

We are also getting VERY excited for Sam’s first Halloween. Our precious boy will be dressing as “Curious Sam” (a monkey) which is one of our favorite nicknames for him.

We are planning to take Sam to Zoo Boo and will also enjoy trick-r-treating and church activities. Can’t wait! I also found a Sam-sized treat basket (also monogrammable) at One Step Ahead. So precious! Can't wait to show pics of my little pumpkin with his pumpkin. :-)
