We began the weekend with a visit to see the Easter Bunny. Mommy asked around to determine the best place to take a 3-week old. I was looking for a short line and little to no germs around. We ended up popping into Bass Pro late Saturday morning and I was very pleased with how the visit turned out. We waited behind just one family and then got our free photo within two minutes. Sam didn't even whimper! Daddy sat with him for the photo. :-) Although it looks like he is fussy here, he was really just getting a good stretch in. :-)

Uncle Heater, Aunt Kaycee, Pops and Mimi all visited on Saturday and brought Sam Easter goodies including new books, clothes and toys. Mimi even made sure Sam got his first basketball goal which he will be able to have lots of fun with a few months down the road!
We woke up on Sunday and decided to take Sam to church for the first time. He is too small for us to feel comfortable putting him in the nursery with all of the other kiddos and germs so he sat with Mommy and Daddy in big church. He did great for about the first half hour which was mostly music. The minute the music stopped and Brother Danny came up to the podium to read the day's scripture passage and begin the message, Sam began screaming. :-) This is when Mommy and Daddy made our exit. We were very proud our 3-week old made it 30 minutes with no crying, though! He is a little rock star!! This is a picture of Sam just before we left for church.

The Easter Bunny came to our house to see Sam, Ella and Addie! He brought Sam toys and books and gave Ella and Addie a new toy along with some yummy treats.

After church and a mid-morning nap, we went to Grammy's to celebrate Easter with family. She cooked an amazing meal that we all enjoyed (well, Sam enjoyed milk of course :-)) and we loved being with Nick, Nathan and Natalie. This is a pic we captured of Grammy with her four grandbabies! Sam is just a tad younger than the others. :-)

We laughed and laughed about the items that Grammy put in Sam's Easter basket. Most of them were for ages 4 and up, including a bug catcher. May be a few years before he can use them but they were precious just the same!!!

Grammy also gave Sam Grandaddy Willis' money clip for him to use when he is older. Grandaddy was so special to Mommy and it means so much for Sam to have a part of him. :-)

That post about what your mom put in the Easter basket made me laugh! It's almost as good as my mom giving Audrey a pogo stick at one of my baby showers(before she was even born)!
