Lemmons Christmas Traditions

Christmas is just a couple of days away! We are so excited to celebrate Jesus' birthday with friends and family. In celebration of the big day, I thought I would complete this survey about how we spend the holidays.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? If Jonathon is preparing the gifts, he does a much better job wrapping. Lauren usually sticks to gift bags because her wrapping talents aren't so good.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial.

3. When do you put up the tree? This year, we put up the tree together Thanksgiving morning while eating cinnamon rolls and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I think this is a tradition we will keep and enjoy with Sam!

4. When do you take the tree down? Before New Years or it's bad luck!

5. Do you like eggnog? Jonathon's favorite. Lauren does not.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Jonathon: probably the cowboy boots he always talks about. Lauren: my first computer.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Lauren's dad, Fuller.

8. Easiest person to buy for? Ella and Addie (rawhides, please!!!)

9. Do you have a nativity scene? I have a beautiful Willow Tree nativity set that I put out on our living room coffee table.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? We always mail them but skipped out on them this year in preparation for Baby Sam. You can bet his cute little face will be on all of the cards next year!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Used car air freshener from an aunt on my dad's side. :-)

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Christmas Vacation and Elf.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Got our first gift in early November.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Who hasn't? :-)

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Jonathon: HAM! Lauren: Mom's baked apples.

16. Lights on the tree? White lights!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Lauren: Oh Holy Night and Silent Night; Jonathon: Bon Jovi's rendition of "Blue Christmas"

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We are very lucky to have most of our immediate family here in Memphis to we stay home. :-)

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes and I'm not going to waste time typing them here!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Crooked star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Eve with mom and Christmas morning is reserved for our little family followed by Jonathon's parents.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Traffic!

23. Favorite ornament, theme, or color? Jonathon and I buy ornaments from our favorite travel and vacation spots. We are growing quite a fun collection!

24. Favorite for Christmas Dinner? Traditional ham and homemade sides.

25. What do you want to do for Christmas this year? Dream about and prepare for Baby Sam!

26. Favorite Christmas tradition growing up? For me, definitely Anna's LONG letters to Santa... Santa always wrote back and I would always tell her his handwriting "looked like daddy's."

27. Favorite tradition now? The first few hours of Christmas morning with Jonathon and the pups. This is our last calm Christmas for a long while!!

28. Favorite Christmas Memory? Getting Ella on Christmas Eve 2005 (she woke me up licking my face when Jonathon brought her to me). :-)
