Santa Was Good To Sam!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our families. It was so exciting thinking about sweet little Sam being 9 months old this time next year! Jonathon and I woke up Christmas morning to letters we had written to Sam. Of course, Santa came to see Ella and Addie and we loved watching them get their loot. :-) We decided to do letters in lieu of exchanging gifts so that we could focus our money on items that the baby needs. Both letters will be treasures he will have for years to come. I may even frame them for his nursery. :-)

Thanks to Santa, Sam received some great essential gifts he will need! We still need tons and tons of things, but were able to mark a couple of big things off the list (travel system with jogging stroller, pack n play, car seat). With careful planning, great sales and monetary Christmas gifts, we only spent $70 of our own money on these and other essential items. Yea! We are working hard to save money for when he arrives as well so staying within our budget is important. We are so grateful to have already knocked some big items out of the way.
